Chiropractic

is a treatment based on manual realignment of joints, ligaments and muscles, especially spine and its effect on nervous system. It includes a set of manipulative techniques, based on the natural movement of body parts, controlled by the therapist, which allow for the repair of joints as well as of the non-articular bone connections and muscles. The core of this technique lies in supporting the body’s self-curing capacity and the interrelation of the spine to body functions.

The role of the chiropractor is to re-balance this interrelation by realigning the joints and intervertebral discs, and by arranging the cartilages back to their right positions. The therapist treats the patient’s back, lower back, cervical spine, and head, while improving the suppleness of skeletal muscles, which results in the overall improvement of the body’s neurological functions.

The main objective is to eliminate pain and improve the suppleness of the musculoskeletal system. A very important part is proper breathing, i.e. the rhythm of breathing. At exhalation, the entire body loosens up, releasing stiffness in the affected area. This allows for safe and effective handling.
